Q & A:

  1. What is your favorite lacrosse moment? Fairfield’s first NCAA appearance, followed closely by the North/South All Star game.  It was a great cap on my collegiate career.
  2. Who is your biggest lacrosse mentor? Coach Mike Fuller (RIP) and my older brothers Jeff, and Chris (Alfred U. All American)
  3. What comes to mind when you think Ryan Powell and Rhino Lacrosse? Fun & Determination.  The Powell brothers and Rhino have always impressed me with their drive for success and their ability to enjoy the process.  I think the Gait Brothers had something to do with instilling that in a lot of Upstate NY youth lacrosse players.  Rhino brings that love of the game to the NW, and it’s spreading like wildfire.
  4. Can you tell us what you currently do with yourself and what do you spend your time doing? I’m currently fixing up a 1900 Farmhouse when not coaching or doing my day job. On the more active front I like to bike, surf, travel internationally, and take my dog on hikes.
  5. If you had to come up with a goal for you and your lacrosse career, what would it be?  I’d like to help at least one player get as much out of playing lacrosse as I did.  Lacrosse has brought me places and given me experiences I never dreamed of.
