Q & A:
- What is your favorite lacrosse moment? Fairfield’s first NCAA appearance, followed closely by the North/South All Star game. It was a great cap on my collegiate career.
- Who is your biggest lacrosse mentor? Coach Mike Fuller (RIP) and my older brothers Jeff, and Chris (Alfred U. All American)
- What comes to mind when you think Ryan Powell and Rhino Lacrosse? Fun & Determination. The Powell brothers and Rhino have always impressed me with their drive for success and their ability to enjoy the process. I think the Gait Brothers had something to do with instilling that in a lot of Upstate NY youth lacrosse players. Rhino brings that love of the game to the NW, and it’s spreading like wildfire.
- Can you tell us what you currently do with yourself and what do you spend your time doing? I’m currently fixing up a 1900 Farmhouse when not coaching or doing my day job. On the more active front I like to bike, surf, travel internationally, and take my dog on hikes.
- If you had to come up with a goal for you and your lacrosse career, what would it be? I’d like to help at least one player get as much out of playing lacrosse as I did. Lacrosse has brought me places and given me experiences I never dreamed of.
