Monday, August 23rd, 2010 at 6:50 am
Westview High School Boys Lacrosse Club is looking for an experienced coach to lead our program and serve as Head Varsity Coach.
Located in the suburbs of Portland, Westview HS is an Oregon 6A school with a strong athletic and academic tradition. Our lacrosse program is a member of the highly competitive Metro League.
The Westview Lacrosse program is entering its 9th season in 2011. The program is expecting over 50 players this year, including 14 returning Varsity players.
We are looking for a coach who shares our vision of player development, on and off the field success, and exemplary sportsmanship. Our Board of Directors manages the Club’s administrative needs, including securing fields and raising funds, allowing our coaching staff to focus on building a winning team.
Qualified candidates must possess leadership and motivational skills, a strong knowledge and passion for the game, and an ability to work in partnership with other coaches.
The regular season begins in mid-February with games scheduled through mid-May and playoffs into early June. Coaches are expected at all practices (5 evenings/week) and all games, plus dedicate enough time for effective team organization and interaction with others as noted above.
The position is paid; salary is negotiable depending on experience.
All members of the coaching staff must pass a background check.
For consideration, please email your resume and letter of interest to Lindsey Burns (JBurns8678@aol.com).
