2009 Space Needle Shootout

Where: Starfire Sports in Tukwila, WA

When: December 4th-6th, 2009

The premier lacrosse event in Washington returns for its 6th straight year. The Shootout provides all-star teams an opportunity to play four guaranteed high caliber lacrosse games against top talent from around the Northwest. This year they will be increasing the turf fields to six which will allow them to expand the play and welcome 64 team to Seattle. This year the Space Needle Shootout are again expecting teams from WA, OR, CA, UT, ID, BC and other states. Four divisions will compete for the Space Needle Shootout Title:

Youth (U12), MS (U14), HS (U16), HS Elite (U18)

Number of games: Each team will be guaranteed four games. All games will be tournament style with round robin play for youth. Pool play will determine seating fro all teams. Each division will have between 12-16 teams with no more than half of any division comprised Canadian or US teams. Additionally, they will only be allowing programs to enter one team per division.

Prizes will be awarded to first place finishers in each age division and MVP’s for each division. Teams may be comprised of no more than 24 players, and no less than 15.

Game times: Schedule will be released in November, but games will run from 4pm Friday through 6pm Sunday for Elite Championships.

Each game will be officiated by two referees and each championship game will be full-length. They will have vendors, competitions, raffles and much more.
